A note on “Ah earth you old extinguisher” A camera moves through an empty house. Not empty but what is called empty in conversation. Not a camera moving but the person implied by the shadow cast on the carpets and walls and shower doors. The camera doesn’t look in the mirrors. Carpet was vacuumed wall to wall, no interruptions, like a lawn when it smells most. The shadow moves twice through each room over the striped beige carpet in a house with a red deck where no one lives.
